As humanity continues to plague itself with segments of conspiracy theory devastating the widespread acceptance of the Covid-19 vaccines like it did with creating and establishing a disbelief against the corona virus pandemic, the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA), through its covid-19 Task Force, has provided some helpful questions and answers concerning covid-19 vaccines in order to bring some light to the darkness of disbelief some of us are basking in.

These questions and answers seen by Godfrey Times, have images of some physicians receiving the first and second dose of the covid-19 vaccine.

Although renowned scientists and doctors, revered religious and political leaders have given their contributory opinions to the conspiracy theory, what we know is the covid-19 vaccines currently in the market have not yet been approved by the US FDA yet in accordance to the usual process required under normal circumstances but they have been approved for use by the FDA under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). This is not a new practice and there is nothing alarming about this approach.

There are credible concerns that the manufacturers of these vaccines used the latest technology that potentially can be abused but a potential is not an evidence of abuse.

At various times, similar concerns for potential abuse were raised regarding Cesarean section for baby delivery, blood transfusion, organ transplants etc. But with the necessary precautions the positives have outweighed the negatives in these and similar situations. The cutting-edge science used is nanotechnology which enables the RNA-based covid-19 vaccines to do their job relatively more effectively than their more traditional counterparts. It is still early to know how revolutionary these vaccines would be, but it is promising, and there is always the risk that they fail to help as many people as they should. Under the Emergency Use Authorization, it is believed that waiting to be sure may be more harmful to the public than getting the vaccinations now. Of course, there is money to be made by some entities, always. But this should not cloud our judgement. As regards the fear that the vaccines can affect our DNA given that nanotechnology platform was used, know that our DNA is in the nucleus of our biological cell. And our RNA (which acts on the message coded by our DNA) is located in the cytosol outside the nucleus. RNA-based covid-19 vaccines activities occur in the cytosol and do not change our DNA. Even as humans are capable of the worst sinister motives we can imagine, humans still use services of other humans, like automobile drivers, doctors who put us to sleep and cut into our body, our foods and medicine produced by others, etc.

Below are the questions and answers:

More than 50 countries have given more than 68m jabs, and the discussion about whether certificates of immunity—or vaccination passports—should be introduced has began and Africa is dwelling in the conspiracy theories—ignoring independent thinking that is believed to be key.
