Two aspects that are the same are calculated using different standards, which is known as a double norm. Human life is complex, with many aspects such as work, social life, spiritual life, home life, and personal life. They appear to be unrelated, but each has an effect on the other. You can’t say you’ll pay more attention to some things and ignore others; if you did, everything would fall apart. You have to figure out who you are (home life), then do what fulfills you (work life), because it can’t all be about work. You also have to unwind (social life), and yes, unwinding means friends, but you’ll need one special one or thing that surpasses others (personal life). When you have it all, or even when you don’t, you’ll notice there is a higher force at play, and you’ll need that force to survive (spiritual life) you can see how they’re all connected now. Having two sets of standards can stifle your growth. And this week, if you concentrate on what you have, you will have more; but, if you focus on what you lack, you will never have enough.
