We don’t just promote love songs on Godfrey Times Love Thursday (GTLT), we celebrate love with true love stories. In today’s episode, we travel to Ghana to report on a recent wedding ceremony.

It all started with a chance encounter on Instagram.

Angelina Ampofo Asomanin, a self-taught artist, was looking for inspiration when she came across Ahmed Partey, a digital and traditional artist. She tracked him down and sent him a message. He returned the favor, and thus began a relationship that would eventually lead to this marital adventure.

Angelina, who later discovered that Partey was her senior in high school, shared the news of her traditional marriage on her Instagram page, describing meeting him as the best thing that happened to her during the pandemic.

The wedding ceremony took place in Accra on May 8th. Angelina told Godfrey Times Love Thursday, “feels like the greatest decision I’ve ever made😌.”

Since Angelina is a blend of both nations, a bit of both Nigerian and Ghanaian culture was introduced into the union, which was strictly traditional and customary.

Because of our joy for this art-loving couple and how much we value marital adventures, we’re highlighting the wedding ceremony this week on GTLT with the photos below.
