The federal government of Nigeria on Tuesday announced the extradition of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF) and minister of justice, confirmed the development at a press briefing.
Kanu was subsequently re-arraigned before the federal high court in Abuja on charges bordering on alleged treason.
Binta Nyako, the presiding judge, granted a request by the Department of State Services (DSS) to remand him till July 26
