Insights from the Streets: Simon Kolawole’s Weekend Column on the Buzzing Political Conversations in Nigeria.

There are many conversations on the streets.

These conversations are from the issues of life affecting the ordinary people—it spreads through every sphere of life, and most times, politics is the most topical matter.

In Nigeria, politics has been the most topical conversation on the streets now owing to the general elections, especially the just-held presidential election.

Sensational penner, Simon Kolawole has written about the political conversation on the streets now in his latest weekend column: What the taxi driver told me.

I love Kolawole’s articles, and its titles are one of my reasons. When I saw this post on the Viewpoint category of TheCable website, I could tell Kolawole wrote it because of the title.

His titles are real, captivating real life journalism hook. They are like the lure on the hook you used to catch a fish.

Kolawole’s titles would lure you to his articles, but unlike the fishes, you would be glad it caught you. Lol.

In his Saturday article, Kolawole entertained ardent readers of his column with the conversation he had with the taxi driver that picked him from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

Poor Frank (the name he gave the taxi driver) didn’t know he was talking to one of the finest and most glorious journalists of our time.

I really enjoyed reading the conversation. It was like watching Tom Hanks having a conversation with a taxi driver in a movie scene. What’s more? Kolawole’s summary of the presidential election is interesting and what I think Obi should look into.

Simon Kolawole’s columns offer a thorough understanding of the problems that affect regular people.

This recent column is no exception. TheCable owns the article. Read it here.
