As the world grapple for survival in this pandemic that hammered the earth, members of The Shakers Foundation, a coalition of sports and entertainment personages in Nigeria is showing a culture of gratitude to the COVID-19 front-liners.

In a press release sent to Godfrey Times, The Shakers Foundation who are humanitarians spreading the culture of humanity and professionalism, expressed special gratitude to all Nigerian professionals who worked relentlessnessly at great risk to their personal lives at the frontlines of the marathon battle against COVID-19.

Validly mentioned as worth recognizing and praising in the statement which was signed by its Head, Media and Communications, Smart Okotie Jr, is the doggedness of the doctors, nurses, fire-fighters, soldiers, police men (and women), among all other essential service-providers not here-mentioned who worked day and night all through the lock-down period and beyond to protect Nigerian lives from Covid-19.

THE SHAKERS FOUNDATION

The advent of Covid-19 brought out the best in many Nigerian professionals. The active membership of The Shakers Foundation acknowledges the unexpected loss of several Nigerian lives to Covid-19 as heart-breaking!

We use this medium to formally express special gratitude to all Nigerian professionals who worked relentlessly at great risk to their personal lives at the frontlines of the marathon battle against Covid-19.

The Shakers Foundation is a coalition of Sports and Entertainment personalities. We share in non-dying dream of a vibrant and prosperous Nigeria with millions of fellow Nigerians spread across our blessed national landscape. We are a multi-cultural family. Our commitment is to Nigeria’s positive evolution, in which we engage in activities that resonate with the safety, protection and enhancement of Nigeria’s Human Capital.

The doggedness of the doctors, nurses, fire-fighters, soldiers, police men (and women), among all other essential service-providers not here-mentioned who worked day and night all through the lock-down period and beyond to protect Nigerian lives from Covid-19 is worth recognizing and praising.

The Shakers Foundation, established for the pertinent purpose of facilitating humanitarian and development efforts in Nigeria, also lauds the selfless contributions made by prominent Nigerians, business and non-profit organizations to the fight against the spread of Covid-19 in our country.

The statistics recorded in respect of Covid-19-related deaths in Nigeria do testify to the efficiency and effectiveness of efforts put in by the spectrum of Nigerian professionals who were duly mobilized against the pandemic by government.

Our membership is comprised of persons whose presence, passion and sustained popularity in the Nigerian limelight rest on the love given by Nigerians situated across Nigeria’s socioeconomic strata. We thank all Nigerians for their love and reiterate our dedication to reciprocating to the best of our ability for as long as we live!
