A Nigerian born Kaycee Madu has become Canada’s Minister of Justice and Solicitor General.

Madu is the first Black Man to occupy either Provincial or Federal Justice positions of the Justice Minister, Attorney General or Solicitor General, according to a tweet by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission who congratulated Madu via a tweet on Wednesday.

Madu who tweets as @kayceeMaduYEG, thanked everyone for all the well wishes saying he is beyond humbled to accept his new role as Minister of Justice and Solicitor General.

He described the position as where he will pursue fairness, equality, and justice for all with every ounce of strength I have.
