There’s so much of Thanksgiving that the Holy Spirit reveals to us as we continue to follow his understanding. In the message, Thanksgiving to Possess, Apostle Benson Enakhena upped the know of his members’ understanding on Thanksgiving saying it brings relationship.
WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THE MESSAGE
Greeting is a Thanksgiving that establishes a relationship. Giving thanks to God before praying will draw God’s attention to you. There are things that God does that we can’t see with our eyes (they even come as troubles or challenges).
God’s love for us is strengthened by thanksgiving. He healed the ten lepers with compassion, but he made the one who returned whole with love. You are not ready for God’s love if you are not giving thanks to him.
The outpouring of God’s anointing is triggered by Thanksgiving. David, unbeknownst to him, had been thanking God. Abraham and David are two of God’s anointed fathers. That is why we refer to Jesus as a descendant of David.
Thanksgiving raises covenant between man and God.
Even as he was about to show the dream to Pharaoh, Joseph thanked the Lord. By giving thanks with Isaac, Abraham made a covenant with God. Most of the time, in order for God to grant you your place, you must go out of your way to thank Him.
Have we really expressed our gratitude to God?
One of the best ways to express gratitude to God is to help those in need.
Jesus had three types of friends: those to whom he gave, those with whom he fellowshiped, and those who gave to the ministry, but he paid special attention to those who worked in the ministry.
For you to possess your ownership, you must be consistent with your thanksgiving.
It is a thanksgiving to love your neighbor as yourself.
The love of God has vanished from man’s heart. The only thing that works on this earth is God’s mercy. I will not ridicule your suffering if I say I love you. It is because love has vanished from the earth that you see killings everywhere. God’s Spirit is characterized by love. The Bible refers to God as “love.” Our thanksgiving is zero if we don’t have love.
