The Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) deadline of January 31 is approaching as the month’s end draws near.

Major churches and schools across the country are refusing to accept payments made in old Naira notes.

This is under the CBN’s directive to stop the usage of old Naira notes in the market.

To encourage the use of the newly revamped and revalorized naira.

The CBN has urged Nigerians to make use of the new naira and stop using the old naira notes.

This is in order to avoid any financial losses because of their revalorization.

The CBN also stated that all transactions made in the old naira notes should be completed by January 31st.

Or the transaction will be subject to revalorization.

In response, many major churches and schools have announced statements to members of their congregation and students respectively, informing them of the CBN’s directive and also asking that payments made to these institutions be made in the new naira notes.

The CBN has also urged all Nigerians to contact their banks in order to get information regarding the revalorization.

To make sure they do not lose any money because of the revalorization of the old naira notes.

In the coming days, it will be very important for Nigerians to make sure they abide by the CBN’s directive. Pay attention to any announcements made by the CBN regarding the revalorization of the old naira notes. It is also important to note that payments made to any churches or schools should be in line with the CBN’s directive.

The payments should be in the new naira notes in order to avoid any financial losses.

however, the ATMs that are supposed to give customers the new naira notes are empty.

Banks in Nigeria are still giving out the old naira notes to customers instead of the new ones.
