TAMPA, FLORIDA. — This magnificent Sunshine state is a colorful destination owing to its many tourism beauties. One of these glorious beauties is the birds of Florida.

Can you picture watching colorful birds like herons, egrets, and pelicans soar off the page? Put an end to your fantasies, since John Costin and other bird enthusiasts have created reality using etching. Yes!

The beautiful Florida birds that you have admired in the wild from a distance are now within reach thanks to Costin’s creations and collections.

The Tampa Bay Historical Center currently has them on display. The exhibit is referred to as “Etched Feathers: A History of the Printed Bird” in the email that was sent to Godfrey Times Travel. It began on March 4 and will end on October 15 in the Wayne Thomas Gallery of the history center.

In Tampa’s downtown, the history center is at 801 Water Street.
