Unlike some churches in Nigeria today, the truth about God’s word is a given at El-Shaddai Salvation Family Ministries (ESFM), where the lead pastor Benson Enakhena is always preaching the message of God and not of the world, let alone his. The doctrine is the spiritual standard at ESFM.

Enakhena is never without the direction of the Holy Spirit, and God is sacrosanct. When you visit ESFM and experience God’s fire, you will rue going to a church where there is no God.

It’s all about the deep truth of God’s word, and on this day of Kingdom worship, a Thanksgiving service, Enakhena preached on the must-know insights about divine talent in the message “Talent the Key to Success.”

It was not a calling down the fire of God message, like the “My Little Beginning” message, a message with one purpose: to help God’s children know who they are so they can be successful.

Enakhena enjoined his members to move out of carnality and into the realm of revelation over their talent by sharing six things you need to do to be successful.

But what exactly is a talent? What does it imply for a man? Why do you need to involve God in your talent search? Answers to these and other questions are in the excerpts from God’s powerful message below.

Read the message below:

To be beautiful is a talent, but your attitude can kill your talent, which is your beauty.

There is no deliverance until you accept your situation.

Talent is a gift from God. It is not a gained skill or knowledge.

You may know your talent, but are unsure how to pursue it. Why? Because you did not engage God. Involve God in your talent.

If what you’re doing right now doesn’t give you joy, it is not God’s talent in your life.

Talent gives you joy. Anything you do that doesn’t give you joy is not your gift. Search for your talent. You only shine in what you derive wonder from doing.

A man that imitates others cannot understand his own talent. Your talent is to glorify God. Anything you call your talent that does not ennoble God is not God’s capacity. Exodus 35:10.

Anything God has given you as a talent that does not exalt God is not from God.

How do you ennoble God with that talent? You are to endow the world through your talent. If your skill does not bless lives, it is not God’s capacity. Matthew 5:14-16. So when God’s talent is giving only you, miracle, it is not God’s talent. Until you endow people through the works of your hands, there is no blessing in your life. Your talent is not a light unless it impacts another man. The light you’re carrying isn’t just for you; it’s for everyone to see. I pray for someone here this morning. Your talent from this moment will not give light to you alone, it will give light to all that surrounds you in the name of Jesus. What does that mean? Abundance. When your talent isn’t opening doors for you, there’s a problem somewhere. Either you mistake somebody’s talent for yourself or, out of greediness, pride, you put yourself where you don’t belong.

When you mislead yourself, you cannot excel. You must know your talent. For a man to be successful, you must realize the talent God has given to you. No man or woman can come through without understanding the gift of God in his or her personality.

Exodus 31:3–5.

Every man has a talent in him to build something, to develop something, to make something out of nothing. When the bible says in the book of Genesis that on the seventh day God rested from all he produced, my God neither sleep nor slumbers. What did He do? He gave the ability to build, recreate, develop, except for producing a man. To do every other good thing, He gave it to man. Then if you have not done nothing extraordinary, you have not discovered your talent. Please, I want us to go home with this message. Search yourself. You must shine and prosper. To come through, you must first discover your capacity. Don’t do things like everyone else. Unless you are required by law. What is under the law? When you are working under someone, you are under a law. In a place of employment, you can’t exercise your full potential. You have your boundaries.

I am not telling you not to work for people, but to learn to develop your talent so that your talent will bring you out of employment for you to employ others.

Look, there are times you work with people, you think all your life ends there. You think if you lose the job, your life has ended. But discover who you are, the talent you have. When there is a shaken after some years, you will arise with your talent and thank God for the discovery of it. I pray for somebody here this morning. You will discover who you are. In the name of Jesus.

You impact people with your talent. Proverbs 22:29 If you are not working with your talent, you can not be skillful. A man can take everything away from you, but you will bounce back because it is your talent. When you are under employment, you may not bounce back. But with the talent, let them take away your house. When you have been able to discover your talent, you will not be afraid of things surrounding you. You will take advantage of the economy, every situation. In every situation, there’s prosperity in it. You can not discover it if you don’t have your talent.

If you have your talent anywhere you go, you will see the loophole where you have to fill up. If you are not seeing where you are supposed to fill up, you don’t know your talent. You will excel wherever you go if you know your talent.

No man is empty. My God is far too powerful to create an empty man. My God is too excellent to create you for you not to be somebody. Who are you in your family, in the house of God, in your business, working place? If you are not extraordinary, you have not discovered your talent.

They sent Joseph into prison, but his talent (the gift of interpretation) brought him out. Discover your talent right now. Pray, work on it, please.

Let me tell you one thing: no talent is bigger than others; it is only by the grace of God that makes one to be higher than another one. Being a preacher does not mean that you are better than the man playing the saxophone. Playing the sax does not mean you are better than the usher. Being an usher does not mean that you are better than the man in the media. It is only Grace. If you think it is a joke, let that department strike. Let only you operate that day, you will discover you need everybody. As they need you, you need another man. If you are not here this morning, this church will be empty. If this church is empty for a month, pastor Benson may look for a drug to take. As you need me, I need you. If you think you don’t need anybody, go to an island and build a house there. You will know you need a man to build a house. Even if you are a civil engineer, you need a carpenter. A carpenter needs a bricklayer. We join things together to work together, to become something, to move the mountain.

Even Jesus Christ needed the 12 disciples. If he had been alone, his talent would have died with him. If your talent ends with you, may God have mercy..

Proverbs 25:14 (KJV)

What you don’t have, you say you have it. That is why some churches can wake up overnight and become a warehouse. Because they claim what they don’t have. They claim what does not exist. You can deceive all men once, but not all the time. They will soon discover you, your originality. When they discover, they will all exit one by one. Discover your original and work with it. You may not be great now, but the book of Habakkuk said tarry, you must surely excel. In the beginning of your talent, your mother or father may pull you down. Your husband or wife may not agree with you. Even your trainer in your talent, at a time, will look at you and say, do you think you can work with me? Tell the man or woman I am not doing it because of you. I am doing it because I love doing it. We have half bread pastors today because they want to become other pastors they see, not what God wants them to become. Become what God says you will become, not what other men or women are. You don’t need another man’s talent. You are in a department you are running to another place. Don’t enter a department where your talent cannot make an impact. When you do, you struggle. Don’t stay where you are; instead, learn to grow. You can do it. Especially our mothers in the house. Don’t wait for your husband. You can be richer than your husband. Who told you that your husband must be richer than you? We have Abigail; we have Rebecca. No man trains a fool. Before a man trains you, there is something in you. No man trains nothing. Unless There is something in you and that something has to do with your talent. No man invests in nothing. Not even my God. Until you discover who you are, it is difficult for your helpers to locate you. Wake up!!!

David did not understand his talent until he received the anointing; David thought he was born to become a shepherd to be fighting for animals. No!

You don’t discover your talent today and prosper right away, No. There is a procedure. You must work for your talent, work on the result. Don’t relent. God cannot lie. Let me tell you, when you discover your talent, the first thing you will realize is your best friend will desert you. If everybody supports you in your talent in the beginning, it is not God’s talent.

2:3 Habakkuk

Some of us have jumped out of our talents because we want to eat, buy a car, excel, hit money. We jump out of our talent. Then, by the time we struggle in the evening, we say God, where are you? When you pluck your mango before it ripes because you are hungry, you sell them cheap. Like Esau. Esau jump the space of hunger over his talent. Many of us are jumping out of God’s talent today because of the space of hunger. We have sold our talent because we want to eat today, but tomorrow is waiting. What are you going to do with your tomorrow? By the time you eat your tomorrow today, what will happen to you tomorrow?

Discover who you are and prepare for the future. Today may be hot, you may be hungry today, yes, people may ask you, are you not a professor? Say yes, I know who I am; I know where I am going to. I know what God is going to do in my life.

Until you discover who you are, people will use you to play football.

Don’t make friends with people that do not talk about their tomorrow. I don’t make friends with people who discuss another thing when I am talking about my tomorrow. They kill your dreams. I don’t share my dreams with people who don’t see my dreams with me. Because they are people who kill talents. Why should I discuss something you don’t understand?

For you to be successful, you need to know God, one. And through God, you know who you are, two. You work diligently on your talent, three. Four, you are prudent in all your doings. Five, you are consistent in your talent. Then, six, you excel.

I pray for you this morning. God is going to reveal your talent to you. That thing you need to do that is your talent, that God has been waiting for you to do, for him to bless you so much.

I pray today God will open your eyes for you to see that opportunity and you will yearn for it in the name of Jesus.

Abraham was a blessed man, but he didn’t know his talent until God spoke to him at 75 and he obeyed. It is not too late for you to start now. How will I start now? Start now. It is not too late.

Joseph did not know his talent. That is why he was always running to his father whenever he dreamt. It is because you don’t know your talent you give your job to another person to analyse for you. Some professionalism is human gained knowledge. It Differs from divine talent. If God is not showing you dimension in your revelation over your talent, then is not God’s talent. You wake up in the morning; you say oh; I saw myself designing this. I saw myself doing that. You are putting them in order in the physical, things will happen and work. Why? Because there is a revelation. When there’s a revelation, there’s a way. When there’s a way, there’s a result. Move out of carnality, enter the realm of revelation over your talent, and see the works of God.

PRAYER: Say, Father, I want to know who I am.
