THE LESSONS WE LEARNED FROM THE MESSAGE
Mercy is extended to a man who does not qualify for it. Joseph was entitled to be a minister in Egypt because of God’s mercy. But there is one thing you must understand: if you fail to forgive, God will never forgive you.
The amount of mercy you display is proportional to the amount of mercy you get. Your degree of mercy reflects your Christian faith. The Bible does not say that you should not be angry, but that you should show compassion when that person reconciles with you.
How you are is determined by what consumes your mind.
1Peter 2:3 Without mercy, there can be no peace. Without compassion, there is no grace. Without God’s mercy, none of us are worthy of his glory. Abundant mercy means that He is still able to pick you up when you fall.
Father, thank you for your mercy over my life, is the greatest Thanksgiving to God. The mercy of God restores a (lively) hope. It speaks in abundance from the day Jesus was crucified on the cross of Calvary.
God’s mercy led Him to send His only Son to die for you and me. We are only able to go to heaven because of God’s mercy.
- God’s mercy turns around every difficult situation. Like he turned around the life of Joseph. And the life of Saul. Psalms 31:9-10.
- It qualifies us for what we are not qualified for. Psalms 40:11.
3. It gives us power and authority. The more merciful you are, the more powerful you are in the eyes of God. Hebrews 4:16.
4. Through Christ Jesus, God’s mercy washes away our sins. If you are not healed by his stripes you can not make heaven.
- Mercy of God qualifies us for eternal life. James 2:13
Mercy not speaking from our hearts is the reason why we fast and pray for forty days and nights no result.
The only thing that can bring the broken bone back to life is God’s mercy.
